You Can Save Money By Shopping the Amazon Warehouse
When you’re shopping Amazon, here’s an easy trick for you to save some money by purchasing a nearly new item. Check the Amazon Warehouse for your desired item.
Go To the Amazon Warehouse!

How To Get There
In the Amazon.com search bar, on the far left is a greyish area with a drop down arrow for searching specific departments. Usually, you will see “All” next to the down arrow.
Click that down arrow, and toward the top, and five topics down, you will see “Amazon Warehouse.” Next, click that, then perform your search. The results will be either your exact item, or items very close. At the bottom of each listing, to the right of the price, will be how many they have in stock.

Click on “Used” to See Options List
Clicking “Used” on a listing for a Withings Steel HR Hybrid Smartwatch brings up a list of every option available in the Amazon Warehouse. This will be familiar to you if you like to search for books and prefer to purchase used ones at a lower price or to be environmentally friendly like I do.
Notice that there is no price in large-size font here. That often means there is more than one available in the Amazon Warehouse, and the pricing will vary depending on condition. Sometimes if you see the price – it’s because there’s only one.
Side note; I find it acceptable to gift used books, especially rare ones that are out of print. It’s my small way of not generating additional consumer products. What do you think about this? Leave your comments below!

Subtle Differences
Had I clicked directly on the product, I would have found the Withings Steel at almost double the price. Because I clicked “Used” instead, I got this list above with more than one option for price and condition in the Amazon Warehouse.
From here, you can view the condition. Much like books, the conditions range from “Used-Acceptable” to “New.”

How To Vary Your Results
A second search for a Withings Steel HR Sport Hybrid Smartwatch 40mm in the Amazon Warehouse shows some interesting variations in the results you may elicit.
Clicking on the image of the watch picture in the first image yielded the second image – a single watch, in the “All” section of Amazon. You can see one result, one item to add to your cart – only one choice, one price.
Going back to the first image and clicking on the word “Used” beneath the photo of the watch generates a whole list of options – if options exist. In this case, there is a selection of this same watch in varying degrees of condition and price.

Conditions and Details
Once you click on an image to look closer, and get the one-item result, to the top right, you will see “Buy used:” and the price again. I’ve seen “Used: Good,” “Used, “Used: Like New,” and the option to click on “Details.”
The “Details” may be that the item will arrive in its original packaging which is damaged, or perhaps that there is a small cosmetic imperfection on the bottom, top, or sides. These are the same details you will see in the longer list with more options in the Amazon Warehouse.
In the past, you may have even come across a “See All Buying Options” and accidentally viewed an item in the Amazon Warehouse. That’s originally how I discovered this interesting purchasing option.
The Elegiant Selfie Stick Tripod above was an item I knew I would use, but I didn’t want to pay full price or wait for a sale. In order to purchase one for about half price, I ordered one from the Amazon Warehouse. The details said it was in the original packaging, but missing the storage bag. No big deal to me!

How Used is “Used?”
Well…. Here is where buyer tolerance comes into play. If I need to purchase an axe, and there’s one available with a ding on the handle, that’s acceptable to me. I’m going to get quite a few more dings on it anyway.
For my camera, I wanted a second storage disk. From the Amazon Warehouse, I ordered a SanDisk 64GB Ultra microSDXC UHS-I Memory Card for about 30% off. It arrived in a package that had been opened and resealed. It works fine. If it didn’t – I would simply return it.
In fact, sometimes when you order a new item, it has a defect and does not work and you must return it anyway. An opened packet was not a deal-breaker for me.
In the case of a watch – there’s a pretty good chance I’m going to get a scratch on it eventually as well. If you’re not happy when it arrives – simply return it.
My Experiences Include an iPhone!
I’ve ordered phone cases and even an iPhone from the Amazon Warehouse! It was in a gold color I didn’t care for, however, you can’t even see that due to the case.
Here’s what the “Details” were for my iPhone XS. You’ll appreciate the last two bullet points!
- Fully unlocked and compatible with any carrier of choice (e.g. AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, US-Cellular, Cricket, Metro, etc.).
- The device does not come with headphones or a SIM card. It does include a charger and charging cable that may be generic, in which case it will be UL or Mfi (Made for iPhone) Certified.
- Inspected and guaranteed to have minimal cosmetic damage, which is not noticeable when the device is held at arms length.
- Successfully passed a full diagnostic test which ensures like-new functionality and removal of any prior-user personal information.

Trolling for Great Deals
Sometimes there’s something that you’d like to treat yourself to, however, the price is just a bit too much for your tolerance. You’ve decided eBay is not the way to go because you want a bit more of a warranty, stronger return policy, whatever.
That’s what happened to me – I wanted these Bose Companion Speakers for my new Mac Mini setup. They were a bit pricey, so I headed to the Amazon Warehouse and searched there.
I found a pair that the details said were missing the manual. Oh! Since we go online and download all our product manuals into a shared drive anyway, that made absolutely no difference to me. Score!

Gifting Considerations
I’m curious to know what you think about gifting items from Amazon Warehouse. Is it completely unacceptable or absolutely ecoconscious.
While I might hesitate to purchase and gift something that damage might not be fully revealed until use, Warehouse items are guaranteed.
In the past, the perfect presentation box was expected to have no dings, scratches, dents. The Haryali London Mens Shaving Razor above arrived in the most attractive presentation box.
“Presentation is everything” – or is it? I think so, and a nice wrapping job can move that slightly scratched box over the top on the gifting happiness!
With people becoming more financially conscious; are perfect presentation boxes de rigeur? Or passe? It seems to me that more people are purchasing unique items from eBay, and those items may or may not have their original packaging, or it may be in fairly worn condition.
Families looking to cut down on clothing expenses are shopping thrift and consignment in order to wear far superior brands with normally rather high prices, but spending less than they would for discount store cheapies that wear poorly. What? Pay less for something far better? Yes, please!
