Five Reasons Diving From a Resort is Easier Than Organizing a Cruise Ship Dive Trip
I can think of at least five reasons that diving from a resort is easier than organizing a cruise ship dive

1. Just show up!
The biggest benefit of diving from a resort is that you are putting the organization of all your dives into the resorts’ choice, so all you do is show up every day and go where ever they say you’re going to go that day.

2. No booking with multiple dive shops
This means you do not have to book with four different dive shops in one week: you only have one set of waivers filled out, one set of routines to learn.

3. Valet gear service
You might get lucky and be at a resort where you drag your gear down there the first day, prove that you know how to set it up, then they concierge all your gear all week for you! You just show up and they have it ready.

4. More days in one place in case of a bad weather day
You are in the same place for a longer time, so if the weather changes, you have more options for accomplishing more diving somewhere in that area sometime later during the week.
In other words, if you were absolutely desperate to get in a dive on that island, if you are parked there for the entire week, conditions might get better and you might get in that one dive.

5. One set of waiver forms
Since you’re only dealing with one island or country, on one resort, you will only have to fill out the waiver forms on time.
Of course, you can argue just as many benefits to going on a cruise ship dive trip! Read this next: 7 Fantastic Reasons to Plan a Cruise Ship Dive Trip
